The Black Horse Baston on Main Street was built around 1800 and recorded in 1841 census and history gazetteer and directory of Lincolnshire 1842, is at the East End of the village (original name was changed to the Baskerville in 1980s). serious fire occurred on the 9th of October 1990. It was rebuilt (rename the Baskervilles unopened in November 1994) to operate as a hotel, restaurant public house with various owners and tenants to autumn 2018 . The original Black Horse name was restored, along with a major internal restoration, a re- equipped Oak bar set and feature restaurant to become a gastro pub, links with the deep in stage- opening on the 1st of November 2018.
